The marathon is organized by Golazo, in collaboration with the Nelson Mandela Foundation and local communities in Cape Town. All profits from the event will be donated to the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
Multiple distances will be offered, from an accessible Nelson Mandela 5K Run & Walk, 10K Run & Walk, to The Slave Route Challenge Half Marathon 21K and Nelson Mandela Marathon 42K.
Cape Town carries deep historical meaning and extraordinary natural beauty. It is where remembrance and forward movement come together.
